Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership
Students, faculty and staff — as well as visiting activists, artists and intellectuals — build a more just world at the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership. The center develops and sustains leaders committed to making a campus and world where everyone's life is equally valued, putting K at the forefront of work in social justice in higher education.
The building, which is soon expected to receive LEED Gold certification, was the first in the world dedicated solely to and designed for social justice leadership.
Studio Gang Architects won several professional awards for designing the Arcus Center, which has three wings facing, respectively, the community, the campus and a woods known as the College Grove, representing three of the Arcus Center’s priorities.
