          Food issue:

          • 1 parent complaining about time spent prepping EC food while we work on permit; talking to others
          • Chanin will address with that parent offering financial reimbursement of supply fee for those months or volunteer hours or roll into improved food program for remainder of year
          • Approximately $20, $26, $32 per family depending on 3-4-5 days for 8 weeks

          Site Search Organization:

          • Process for site purchase:

          1.      Find property.

          2.      Research information on criteria list.

          3.      Send to Mindy (site purchase) or Board (short-term site rental) to vet.

          4.      Visit team sees property if Mindy approved. Team = Chantal (coordinator), 1 teacher (Sara if available), 1 board member, possible specialist for needed expertise (ie, contractor)

          5.      Completes report including recommendation for dropping from list or adding as potential contender. Submit to Mindy (site purchase) or Board (short-term site rental).

          6.      Board vote for hiring consultant for report. (Jayson researching consultants.)

          7.      Board review and decide next steps.

GOAL: Aggregate current site purchase options, go through this process, and see if we have something to submit to consultant by December 1.

          • Criteria/Research List:
          • Size: 3+ acres (required)
          • Location: within map boundaries/distance range (required) (Mindy researching tool to show boundaries based on timed distance)
          • Zoning
          • Price
          • Existing structures
          • Wetlands, flood zone, other water or rights issues
          • Utilities (septic/sewer, roads, power, etc.)
          • Drive Time/Access (ideally 10 minutes from highway)

          Financial ballpark:

          • Range for internal commitments: $100-150K
          • If that is 20% down payment, that makes our total ballpark range $750K, but that would include construction/rental of portables.
          • Approximate cost to rent 2 classroom portable with bathroom: $1400/month
          • Permits: 10-15% of total project cost = $75,000 - $112,500
          • Consultant estimate: 10-24 billable hours, $100 blended rate = $1,000 – $2,400

          Site Reports

          • Custer & Bridgeport—removed from contention because doesn’t meet size requirements
          • 5723 S. Stevens—main parcels may not be enough, but backs to large parcel that is church-owned that they may want to sell; Chantal contacting Good Hope Community Church.
          • Journey church on Pearl (Jayson, Plan B)--rent flexible; willing to let our development costts be our rent; basement rooms down to studs with some electrical—we could customize; they may share some costs like sprinklers; 4500 square feet in basement plus community room we might be able to share upstairs and one possible classroom upstairs; windows in basement rooms; outdoor space but not playground; teacher visit is next step; possible candidate for coaching session with city to discuss permitting for construction
