English Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead')
English Lavender is a standout plant for waterwise landscaping. It is represented on our campus by the cultivar 'Munstead' which is more compact and cold-hardy than other varieties. Its fragrant flower spikes perfume the air in June and July. The secret to growing beautiful lavender is to plant in well-drained soil and cut back the plant after blooming to promote tight, compact growth for the following season.
