Adam's Needle, Yucca (Yucca filamentosa)
Yucca is a water-wise succulent whose slender, pointed leaves radiate from the center of the plant. When mature, it produces creamy bell-shaped flowers that hang from upright stalks. While many yuccas are native to the deserts of Western America, this species comes from the southeastern United States. The wonderfully variegated cultivar 'Color Guard' is the plant you see here.
