      1. Black Lion Tamarin Conservation in Anthropogenic Landscapes

         Organization: EcoHealth Alliance
         
         Restoring habitats by integrating research on the behavior of this highly-endangered primate species in Brazil to help protect the species. Practicing environmental education and eco-friendly socio-economic development and opportunities for local communities. Sustainable development alternatives include tree farming and production of handicrafts. The DWCF has been supporting this program since 2004.
