            Combining research with local and national conservation initiatives to ensure a viable future for the endangered Baird's tapir in Nicaragua. Determining home range size, abundance and habitat use with the aid of GPS collars to track animal's movements. Creating a national, IUCN-backed Tapir Conservation Committee to formulate Nicaragua's first Tapir Conservation Plan.
