Estimating and modeling wolverine occupancy and habitat in the southern Canadian Rocky Mountains using noninvasive survey methods. Assessing the effects of the Trans-Canada Highway on wolverine movement, gene flow and fine-scale genetic structure. Providing greater awareness and understanding of the conservation challenges facing the wolverine populations in this area. Engaging backcountry enthusiasts to assist field researchers with a large-scale wolverine survey by reporting wolverine observations via the Wolverine Watch website. This is the first year this project has been funded by the DWCF.
