         Organization: Wildlife Foundation of Florida
         
         Examining the relationship between temperatures and manatee mortality before, during and after a cold-weather event in peninsular Florida.  Results of the study will inform recommendations of the best warm-water habitat sites to promote the recovery of the endangered Florida manatee. This is the first year this project has been funded by the DWCF.
