Engaging herders in restoration of the snow leopard population in Altai, Russia. Training 5 herder families in camera-trapping, and involving them in snow leopard protection in the Argut basin using incentive payments. Aiming to restore this population to previous sustainable levels of 20-30 snow leopards (due to poaching only 5-8 cats remain in this area).
