Looking for a summer job? Get certified as a Water Safety Instructor and you could work as a private/group swim lesson instructor for Campus Recreation with pay rates starting at $16.00 an hour! In this course, participants will learn how to be safe in, on or around the water and to teach individuals of different ages and abilities how to swim. Participants will learn how to facilitate aquatic activities for persons with special needs, such as disabilities and different skill levels. The course includes Fundamentals of Instructor Training (FIT). Cost for members is $160.
OUTDOOR ADVENTURES PROGRAM
Calling all adventurous students! The BC Rec Outdoor Adventures program is up and running and we've got three great events planned for April. Whether you want to conquer class IV rapids, learn the ins and outs of backpacking or swing through the trees on a zip line, there is something for everyone! Transportation, equipment and training will be provided, but space is limited, so sign up in Member Services to reserve your spot.
