            The Claude Barr Collection, between the main entrance to the Mari Sandoz High Plains Heritage Center and the attached Chicoine Atrium, showcases plants described in Barr’s definitive book Jewels of the Plains.

            Leading Nebraska horticulturist Jim Locklear visited the Heritage Gardens and the CSC Herbarium while researching his 2015 revised edition of "Jewels of the Plains."
