Two-thirds of the roof of Aquinas hall is covered with solar panels. The other one-third is a green roof that absorbs rainwater and provides insulation for the building. It is one of many green initiatives on the CUA campus and is part of the University's commitment to supporting the creation of a sustainable environment on campus in its landscaping, grounds and facilities maintenance, construction, and renovation projects.
