Ashaninka Community Conservation of the Spectacled Bear

Monitoring spectacled bears in central Peru to understand the current status of the species and assess how forest protection and community education impacts the species. Empowering communities to protect their forest in the long-term and provide a safe stronghold for spectacled bears as well as other wildlife in the area.
