Autumn Purple Ash (Fraxinus americana 'Autumn Purple')
Autumn purple ash is a male (seedless) tree that grows rapidly and develops an oval shape. In autumn, it develops outstanding deep red, maroon, or purple fall color. Different colors predominate from year to year with temperature and moisture but the display is reliable and beautiful. As with other Ashes, maintenance is required to avoid stressed trees that are vulnerable to borers.
