        Growth Rate - Fast
        USDA Zone - 3-8

This common shrub or small tree grows in thickets with elongated clusters of white flowers in spring. The resulting red-to-black fruits have long been used in jams and preserves. Chokecherry, so named because of the berry's astringent qualities, is an important wildlife and habitat plant. It is useful for creating informal screens or barriers, and displays variable fall colors of yellow, orange or red.
