    1. Million Dollar Theater

A Los Angeles Landmark since 1918, the Million Dollar Theater is one of the first and largest movie palaces built in the United States. It was created for theatre impresario Sid Grauman as his first Los Angeles Venue. The venue can hold 2,345 seats. It stands directly across from the Bradbury Building. The Million Dollar Theatre is part of the Grand Central Square project which encompasses the theater, the historic Grand Central Market, the Grand Central Square Apartments above the theater and the market, and a large modern parking structure. The theater's unique architecture reflects the 1918 period when it was built, a time when Los Angeles was just beginning its tremendous growth as a center of the film industry.
