The American Cement Building displays the possibilities of concrete in structure as strength and architecture as art. Design by Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendenhall (DMJM), this 13-story building was completed in 1964 and features a latticework of concrete as an exoskeleton, which provides enough support to allow the building's interior to be free of columns.
