    1. Bunker Hill

The Lost Hills of Downtown Los Angeles also know as Bunker Hill run the stretch from west of Hill Street to Figueroa, north from 5th Street to Temple and have forever been a prominent landmark in the city of Los Angeles. In the late 1800's stately Victorian homes were built for the city's upper class residents. At this time the area boasted as Los Angeles' most dense urban neighborhood. After World War I, its residents began moving towards the west side and north to Pasadena. The area became a mecca for residential to rental conversions and suffered from upkeep and overall care. In the 1990's the City Council redeveloped Bunker Hill for financial and cultural edifices. Grand Avenue atop the hill boasts plenty with the Dorothy Chandler Music Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, the New Broad and MOCA museums, the prestigious Colburn School of Music and financial and residential high rises can be found here.
