            Designed by the late Ray Kappe, FAIA, and custom prefabricated by Plant Prefab, this LivingHome was the first to ever achieve a USGBC LEED for Homes Platinum certification and has won many design awards, including the AIA Committee On The Environment's Top Ten Green Projects Award, the L.A. Business Council's Award of Excellence, the Best in American Living Award, Business 2.0's “World’s 11 Coolest Products,” and Bloomberg Businessweek’s “Architectural Wonders of the World.”
            
            The design of the home reflects Kappe’s genius for combining traditional California Modernist elements—an open floor plan, floor-to-ceiling glass, integration of indoor and outdoor spaces—with a Craftsman-like attention to detail and warmth.
