UCLA's Mira Hershey Hall achieved LEED Platinum certification for energy use, lighting, water and material use as well as incorporating a variety of other sustainable strategies. By using less energy and water, LEED certified building save money for families, businesses and taxpayers; reduce greenhouse gas emissions; and contribute to a healthier environment for residents, workers and the larger community. UCLA's Hershey Hall Rennovation was the first UCLA project to achieve a LEED NC Platinum rating. The 45,350 square foot building is ranked in the top 4% of projects in this rating system version.
