The Vasquez Rocks Interpretive Center is LEED platinum 2,915 square feet certified building , includes a multi-purpose exhibit room, and accommodates educational and recreational activities. Because the new building itself is green, Los Angeles County Arts Commission selected artists Jenna Didier and Oliver Hess who are both committed to integrating green technology into their art work, accomplished through content which expresses principles of sustainability as well as the direct use of sustainable materials in the art work. Building ranks in the top 3% of projects in this rating system version.
