University of Hartford’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides a range of short-term counseling and psychological services to the University community. Services are available to full-time undergraduate students at no additional cost. Part-time and graduate students may utilize CAPS services for a nominal fee.

Our services include individual, group, and couples counseling. Of course, there are times when a student's service requests or treatment needs extend beyond that of which CAPS can offer. In such instances, CAPS counselors will assist students in identifying referrals to off-campus providers or programs that can provide these services. CAPS does not provide court-mandated or court-ordered treatment or assessment.

CAPS staff also provides training, outreach, and consultation to University faculty and staff.
        CAPS Hours:

        Monday–Friday 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

For an appointment, please call 860.768.4482 or stop by our office in the Gengras Student Union (GSU), room 313. CAPS is closed during certain school holidays and during the summer.
