Marine Biology Camp Inc. is based in South Florida and is run through various cities and schools. The camp director, Gerard Loisel, has been teaching marine biology to students of all ages for the past 40 years. The camps run throughout the summer and during spring and winter breaks. Children attending the camp get to study a sea grass community, explore the intertidal zone, participate in a sea turtle nest relocation program (summer only), study dangerous marine animals, learn how to tag fish for scientific research, and much more. Field trips include visits to Bill Baggs State Park and the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science on Virginia Key. Each camp session is 5 days long and is open to children 8 to 14 years old.
