Laura Mannering, DPT '10
Laura earned her bachelor's degree in 2000 in economics and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania and later graduated with honors from the University of Miami with her doctorate in physical therapy in 2010. After working as an outpatient physical therapist for six years, Laura began her own practice in 2016, specializing in the McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT). Laura chose to utilize MDT as it offers a uniquely effective assessment and treatment approach for the whole body and emphasizes patient education regarding self treatment and injury prevention. She treats patients in a one-on-one setting, and in particular relishes treating neck and back dysfunctions, including disc pathology. As a clinician who also enjoys teaching, she is a credentialed clinical instructor and has mentored many physical therapist and physical therapist assistant students. Laura is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association and The McKenzie Institute.
