Coral Gables Asset Management, LLC (CGAM) implements a long-short domestic equity investment strategy. At CGAM, we believe that superior returns can be captured by systematically identifying cross-sectional investment opportunities that are often slowly aggregated by market participants. Our strategy employs three independent sources of predictable patterns in stock returns; geographic diffusion, momentum, and sensitivity to the political climate. We use our proprietary investment models to rank stocks based on signal strength. We develop and rigorously test our quantitative investment models in-house, with the goal of achieving superior returns exhibiting low correlation with market returns and economic conditions.
