The second fraternity at Butler, Sigma Chi’s Rho chapter was established in 1865. The Rho chapter’s philanthropy initiatives include: the week-long Derby Days, which serves the community while raising funds for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation; the Chad Keuker Memorial Golf Outing that is held during Parent’s Weekend in honor of Brother Chad who lost his battle to cancer; and the campus-wide event Light Up the Night, coordinated with Delta Gamma to raise awareness and honor Brother Rich Gibson, who was killed in a drunk-driving accident.
