Wilson House Unique among all of the magister residences on the Rice campus, the Wiess College magisters' house is named for a former Rice professor and longtime resident associate of the college, Bill Wilson. Each of Rice’s 11 (soon 12) residential colleges is led by a college magister who lives in an on-campus residence adjacent to the college they serve, and whose role is to advise the students' own elected leadership. College magisters are usually a married couple (at least one of whom must be a tenured faculty member), although single faculty members occasionally serve as magisters. Magisters and their families are recruited, interviewed and nominated by the students of each respective college and typically serve five-year terms. What's there: private residence  Built: 2010
