Rice Memorial Chapel
This nondenominational chapel is located in the Rice Memorial Center and Ley Student Center complex, and serves as a multifaith prayer and meditation room for Rice students, employees and visitors. It is frequently used for alumni weddings, memorial services and other campus gatherings.
What's there: A nondenominational chapel dedicated to the memory of Rice alumni who have died in military service.
The nearest public parking is in the underground Central Campus Garage (located beneath McNair Hall--entrance on Laboratory Road west of Alumni Drive). Parking is payable by credit card or by cash using pay-on-foot machines near the garage elevators.

Located on Level 1 of the Rice Memorial Center. This space is open to all visitors and accessible during regular building hours. While the space is generally available, reservations are subject to restrictions based on Rice University affiliation or sponsorship requirements. Rice Memorial Center – Level 1, Room 114 (Immediately adjacent to this site):
This space is located on Level 1 of the Rice Memorial Center, adjacent to the Chapel. It is open to all visitors and accessible during regular building hours. The space cannot be reserved or scheduled in advance; instead, an “In Use” toggle on the door indicates whether it is currently occupied. Bioscience Research Collaborative – Level 6, Room 628
Room 628, situated on Level 6 of the BioScience Research Collaborative, is available for open access. No advance scheduling is required—visitors can simply check the “In Use” toggle on the door to see if the room is currently occupied.
