Located on the ground floor of Rice's Fondren Library is an exhibit on the history of collaboration between Rice and NASA which includes a moon rock what was awarded posthumously to President John F. Kennedy on the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.Fondren Library is open to the public by presentation of a photo ID at the library entrance.
While on campus, please also consider visiting the plaque and Moon Tree outside Rice Stadium which commemorate President Kennedy's 1962 "We choose to go to the Moon" speech.
