The Rice campus provides several multifaith prayer and meditation rooms. Two are located at the Rice Memorial Center (RMC):
Rice Memorial Center – Level 1, Campus Chapel, Room 109 (THIS SITE):
Located on Level 1 of the Rice Memorial Center. This space is open to all visitors and accessible during regular building hours. While the space is generally available, reservations are subject to restrictions based on Rice University affiliation or sponsorship requirements. Rice Memorial Center – Level 1, Room 114 (ALSO THIS SITE):
This second, smaller multifaith prayer and meditation space is located on Level 1 of the Rice Memorial Center, immediately adjacent to the Rice Memorial Chapel. It is open to all visitors and accessible during regular building hours. The space cannot be reserved or scheduled in advance; instead, an “In Use” toggle on the door indicates whether it is currently occupied. BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) – Level 6, Room 628:
The other campus multifaith prayer and meditation room is located on Level 6 of the BioScience Research Collaborative in room 628. It is available for open access. No advance scheduling is required—visitors may simply check the “In Use” toggle on the door to see if the room is currently occupied.
