On November 2, 2009, the Rice University swim team made a dramatic move to the future with the completion of the Rice Aquatics Center Natatorium at the equally-new Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation & Wellness Center. The picturesque long-course facility includes a 12,650-sf 50-meter completion pool with 8 lanes and 4 diving boards.
