Home of Rice’s internationally acclaimed Shepherd School of Music and a sought-after performance and recording venue, Alice Pratt Brown Hall hosts approximately 350 events and 75,000 visitors per year. Alice Pratt Brown Hall, Brockman Hall for Opera, and the Piazza Della Musica plaza which connects them together comprise the Brockman Music and Performing Arts Center
What’s there: 1,000-seat Stude Concert Hall, 250-seat Duncan Recital Hall, Edythe Bates Old Recital Hall and Grand Organ, 65 practice rooms, seven classrooms and rehearsal and small ensemble spaces, and 54 teaching studios.
