The S.W. Jack Cogeneration Plant is a combined cycle power plant that converts fossil fuels into usable electric and thermal energies for use at the Indiana campus.
The S. W. Jack Cogeneration Plant produces electric, steam, and hot water from the fuel sources of natural gas and a small amount of diesel fuel. The cogeneration process enables users to reach much higher energy efficiencies than traditional power producing plants.
