Home to UCLA's department of transportation, here they attempt to lower street congestion and the school's carbon footprint through public and green alternatives to transportation. Being awarded the 2021 Best Workplaces for Commuters, UCLA’s transportation program saves almost 2 million vehicle trips per year and serves the greater UCLA community. This is accomplished through creative Transportation Demand Management programs including vanpools, campus shuttles, transit subsidies, carpool parking passes, loaner bicycles, Zipcar car-sharing and more. Out of the 1000+ fleet of vechicles, 62% of them are alternative fuel.
