    1. Gillett House

Gillett House is a beautiful brick building on the comer of Elm and Prospect streets. It was named after Edward Gillett, one of the first trustees of Smith. Directly across the street from John M. Greene Hall and the Five College bus stop, Gillett is connected by a covered portico to its sister, Northrop House. Built in 1911, many pairs of Gillett’s single rooms are joined by a common entryway that leads into the hall through one door, forming suites. About 80 women occupy the house.
