One of 10 houses in the Quad, Franklin King and its sister house, Laura Scales, were built in 1935 and 1936. King has about 75 residents housed in a mix of single and double rooms, and one triple room. King and Scales are joined by their dining rooms. The first floor has a large, spacious living room, with a piano and fireplace, and a study room that provides an alternative place to work.
