The Chiller Plant, located on West Street, furnishes 80 percent of the campus with chilled water for air conditioning and humidity control for all of the administration and science buildings and some of the student residences. The plant is also home to Smith's mechanical trades division, which includes all HVAC technicians and the campus plumbing department.
