Tyler Annex was built in 1872 and was purchased by Smith College in 1898. Film director Mike Nichols shot the Elizabeth Taylor-Richard Burton film Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? in this building in 1965. Tyler Annex now houses faculty offices.
