          1. 390th Memorial Museum

One plane, one bomb group: the 390th Memorial Museum provides an inspiring and deeply moving exploration of the faith, humor and human connections that lent to the resilience of WWII/8th Air Force “Sky Pioneers”. The museum showcases one of the few fully restored B17 “Flying Fortresses” on display in the US; a comprehensive nose art exhibit; in-depth crew stories & personal narratives; a combat ‘mission’ board; and a research library & archival center. While visitors can expect to be awed by the history, it’s the museum’s emotional impact that creates a lasting bridge between yesterday and today. The 390th Memorial Museum is co-located on the grounds of the Pima Air & Space Museum. Though it is independently operated, admittance to the “390th“ is free with Pima Air & Space Museum admission.
