If mountain biking is in your blood, and you want to explore the Sonoran Desert, a visit to Ajo should be at the top of your list. There are numerous roads and trails to explore via mountain bike with a mix of rideable, groomed gravel beds plus more taxing jeep roads for the adventurous. Trail maps are available at the Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center. The desert is beautiful, and there’s a good chance you’ll have it all to yourself, come on out and enjoy a day on your two-wheeled steed – you’ll be glad you did.
