Cardinal Stadium, home to Catholic University’s football, field hockey, and track and field teams, was converted from a natural grass stadium to a state-of-the-art synthetic FieldTurf surface in 2006. The complex, which seats 3,500, includes a six-lane track, bleachers, press box, and scoreboard.
In the summer of 2007, the Department of Athletics installed a new Daktronics scoreboard to improve the fan experience. The stadium has also played host to numerous outside events, including high school championships, CUA summer camps, NFL special events, and the Special Olympics D.C. Summer Games.
