The PGA TOUR’s Champions Tour debuts in Tucson at the Tucson Conquistadores Classic. The 2015 event was March 16-22 at Omni Tucson National Resort on the Catalina Course, a popular PGA TOUR venue since the 1960s. The event welcomes an 81-player field competing for a $1.7 million purse as well as 255 Charles Schwab cup points for the winner. The no-cut format features three days of competition (Friday-Sunday) with players participating in Pro-Am events on March 18 and 19. The tournament, which features Hall-of-Fame golfers and legends of the game, presents an unprecedented opportunity for the Conquistadores to raise funds for Southern Arizona youth athletic programs. The civic group was founded in 1962 to raise funds for youth through the game of golf. For more information go to www.conquistadoresclassic.com or call 800-882-7660.
