The Eliot-Pearson Children’s School Summer Program provides a safe, supportive environment in which children can enjoy the magic and special carefree quality of the summer. The program staff includes teachers and students affiliated with the Department of Child Development at Tufts University as well as from other settings. The program is open to children from the community.
The campus includes an air-conditioned building, indoor pool, and two large play yards with climbing structures, outdoor equipment and sprinklers. Our program focuses on activities that promote cooperative problem solving and self-confidence through individual and group challenges.
Throughout the summer, we use the Tufts University Hamilton Pool (located next to the Eliot-Pearson Children’s School) three mornings and two afternoons each week. In addition to the program staff, we have lifeguards at the pool at all times. Children wear flotation devices provided by their families for recreational swimming.
The summer program is for children 3.6-8 years old ( with at least 9 months of group experience). Program runs from June 20th- July 28th, in two three week sessions. Half Days 8:45-12:00 and Full Days 8:45-3:00 available.
