At 118,000 square feet, Bioscience 3 is central to the next generation of healthcare thinking - including novel training techniques and healthcare technology partnerships on the CU Anschutz campus.

Housing the CU School of Medicine’s Center for Bioengineering, Bioscience 3 supports and enhances healthcare technology innovation through collaborations between engineering and health sciences by bridging new ways of thinking with advanced tools including polymer and metal 3D printers, advanced microscopes such as an Atomic Force Microscope, and computational clusters for biomedical simulations.

Bioscience 3 is also the new home for the Center for Surgical Innovation, a state-of-the-art training center representing 15 surgical divisions on campus, where healthcare professionals from around the world study complex surgical procedures. With the Karl-STORZ Endoskope Collaborator, trainees in Bioscience 3 can connect via high-resolution to allow interactive presentations that can visually link to operating rooms across the world.
