In 1991 a generous gift from the James and Leona Lugers Family allowed for the construction of the Lugers Fieldhouse. The Lugers Fieldhouse is located immediately adjacent to the Ekdal Buys Athletic Fields, approximately three blocks from Hope's main campus. One of the most outstanding features of this modern facility is the athletic training room. One of three athletic health care facilities on campus, the Lugers Fieldhouse Athletic Training Room houses an array of therapeutic modalities and rehabilitation equipment. In addition to taping, treatment, and hydrotherapy areas, the Lugers Fieldhouse Athletic Training Room also contains an office and private examination room. The Lugers Fieldhouse Athletic Training Room is open in the afternoons during the fall athletic season and serves as an important health care facility for the football team. This facility also serves as an athletic training laboratory during morning athletic training courses.
