Purchased in 1985 and remodeled for student housing in the summer of 1986, Steffens Cottage is located at 138 East 13th Street and can house up to 5 students.
This cottage is named in honor of Henry J. Steffens who served Hope as the Treasurer and Vice President of Finance from 1946 to 1968. He was also an alumnus of the class of 1930 and initiated many of the financial programs that are in place today, including student loans and organized Business Services.
