LMU students can spend a semester or year studying at Sogang University, which welcomes undergraduate and graduate students from colleges and universities around the world. Located along the Han River, Seoul has grown into a teeming metropolis with a population of more than 11 million. Over the years, the capital city of Korea has greatly expanded in the process of urbanization and industrialization and continues to grow as the thriving center of the country's political, economic, cultural and educational activities.
Korean language proficiency is not required to participate in this program; many of the incoming exchange students arrive with absolutely no knowledge of Korean. Exchange students are fully integrated into the regular programs with Korean students. This allows exchange students to experience Korean culture to the fullest extent. All courses offered in the International Korean Studies are taught in English.
