Adjacent to the Wildlife Sanctuary, Amherst’s own Book & Plow Farm works with students to grow fresh vegetables for Dining Services, as well as for a community-supported agriculture program and for donation to local food pantries. Students are welcome to visit the farm to enjoy spectacular views, gather at our tent, pick flowers and herbs, and explore the farm fields. In addition to hiring student farmers, Book & Plow hosts classroom experiences, workshops, and social events about sustainability, food justice, and more.
