    1. Science and Engineering (SENG)

The Science & Engineering (SENG) building is home to the College of Engineering, where you’ll find classrooms and labs for courses such as astrophysics, biomedical engineering, cybersecurity, game design, pollution control, and wind power.

Undergraduate engineering programs are accredited by ABET. The college’s innovative first-year program focuses on the skills that are essential for success as an engineering major.

Beyond engineering, SENG offers labs and classrooms in the sciences, for courses such as biology, chemistry, and ecology. The Science & Engineering Center, which provides tutoring services, is also in SENG.

As a Tier 1 national research university, UMassD places a high value on student research. You’ll have opportunities to pursue your own research and to work with professors on major research projects—whether you’re an undergraduate or graduate student.
