        Originally constructed in 1963, Benson Hall was completely renovated for the 2014-2015 school year. The 17,928-square-foot building was previously renovated in 1997.

         

        All CMC residence hall rooms have wifi coverage and wired Internet connections and laundry facilities in the building, and Benson also offers hydration stations and air-conditioning.

         

        Located at the southwest corner of Mid Quad, Benson, originally named Live Oak Hall, was renamed in honor of the founding president of Claremont McKenna College. George Charles Sumner Benson served as president from 1946 until 1969, when he was summoned to Washington, D.C., to serve as a key Pentagon official in the Nixon administration.
